Pepper的藍色起司 Pepper’s Blue Cheese

Pepper是一個非常可愛的小鳥，他住在一個很大的森林。
Pepper, is a very lovely little bird that lives in the big forest.

他喜歡唱歌，也很喜歡一種東西…
He loves to sing, but he loves something else too…

是起司！
Cheese!

Pepper很喜歡在人類野餐過後的公園，尋找留下來的起司。
Pepper loved finding cheese in the grass that the humans left after a big picnic in the park.

他常常會到他最喜歡的樹梢上，享用他找到的起司。
He always came to his favorite branch on his favorite tree to eat the cheese that he found.

有一天，Pepper找到了一種很特別的藍色起司，是他的最愛！
One day, Pepper found some very special blue cheese – his favorite!

他把起司帶去了他最喜歡的那棵樹，開始品嘗。「嗯～真美味！」他說。
He took it to his favorite branch on his favorite tree and began to enjoy it. “Mmm, delicious!” he said.

Pepper不是森林裡唯一熱愛藍色起司的動物，小老鼠Jeremy也很喜歡。
Pepper wasn’t the only animal in the forest that loved cheese, especially blue cheese… Jeremy, the little rat also loved blue cheese.

Jeremy並不是一隻友善的老鼠，他常常說謊、欺騙他人來達到他的目的。
Jeremy wasn’t a very friendly rat, he often lied and tricked others to get what he wanted.

「如果人們笨到會相信我的謊話，那他們就不應得到美味的食物！」
“If people are stupid enough to believe my lies, they don’t deserve delicious food!” he said.

「那是什麼味道！」Jeremy邊走在森林邊說。「是藍色起司？」
“What’s that delicious smell?” said Jeremy as he walked through the woods, “Is that blue cheese?”.

他知道誘人的香味是從哪傳來的，他剛好餓了。
He knew what it was right away, and he was very hungry.

Jeremy跟著香味來到Pepper棲息的那棵樹，他抬頭看到Pepper正在樹梢到品嚐起司。
Jeremy followed the smell to Pepper’s favorite tree, and he looked up to see Pepper on his favorite branch, nibbling the cheese.

「嘿！Pepper！是我！Jeremy！那個起司看起來好好吃喔！」Jeremy說。
“Hey Pepper! It’s me – Jeremy! That cheese looks lovely!“ said Jeremy.

「非常美味！Jeremy！這些都是我的！」Pepper說。
“It is lovely, Jeremy, and it’s all mine!” said Pepper.

Pepper常聽到Jeremy像其他動物騙取食物。
Pepper had heard that Jeremy tricks animals for food.

「你知道嗎Pepper！我好久好久沒聽到你美妙的歌聲了。」Jeremy說。
“You know, Pepper, I haven’t heard your lovely singing in so long.“ said Jeremy.

「喔？你喜歡聽我唱歌嗎？」Pepper高興的說。
“Oh, do you… do you like my singing?“ said Pepper, feeling happy.

「對啊！我現在好想聽！」Jeremy抬頭看著Pepper說。
“Yes! I would love to hear it now!“ said Jeremy, looking up at Pepper.

Pepper開始用美妙的歌喉唱歌…「噢不！」
Pepper began to sing in his most beautiful voice and… oh no!

藍色起司從樹上掉到了樹下。
He dropped the blue cheese! It fell to the bottom of the tree.

Jeremy用迅雷不及掩耳的速度，拿走了起司，全力向樹林中奔跑。
Jeremy didn’t wait a second longer, he grabbed the cheese and ran as fast as he could away into the woods.

「哇哈哈哈哈！是我的了！」他一邊跑一邊大叫。
“Hahahah! It’s mine!“ he shouted as he ran.

可憐的Pepper好餓，但他已經沒有起司了，他哪裡做錯了呢？
Poor Pepper was still hungry, he didn’t have any cheese. What was his mistake?

「我不應該這麼天真的！」Pepper說。
“I should not have been so naive!” said Pepper.

He should have been more careful and tried not to believe in everything Jeremy said, just like you should not believe everything somebody tells you – think carefully!
他應該更小心，不要相信Jeremy說的任何話，就像你不要隨意相信別人告訴你的任何事情，仔細思考。
