Once there was a little red hen. She lived on a farm with other farm animals.
有一隻紅色的小母雞，她跟許多不同的動物住在農場上。

One day, she decided she wanted some bread. She knew she needed to grow some wheat.
有一天，紅色小母雞好想吃麵包，他知道他需要小麥來當作原料。

She asked the farm cat for help. He said no.
她問了農場上的貓，願不願意幫忙，貓咪說「不！」

She asked the farm dog for help. He said no.
她問了農場上的狗，願不願意幫忙，狗說「不！」

She asked the farm horse for help. He said no.
她問了農場上的馬，願不願意幫忙，馬說「不！」

So the little red hen went to the fields alone. She planted the seeds to grow wheat.
所以小母雞就自己來到了農地，自己收割小麥。

When the wheat had grown, the little red hen asked the farm animals for help.
接著，她需要碾碎小麥來製作麵粉，她請農場上的動物來幫忙。

She asked the farm cat for help. He said no.
她問了農場上的貓，願不願意幫忙，貓咪說「不！」

She asked the farm dog for help. He said no.
她問了農場上的狗，願不願意幫忙，狗說「不！」

She asked the farm horse for help. He said no.
她問了農場上的馬，願不願意幫忙，馬說「不！」

So the little red hen went to the fields and cut down the wheat alone.
所以小母雞就自己來到了農地，自己收割小麥。

Then she needed to crush the wheat to make flour. She went to the farm animals and asked them for help. 接著，她需要碾碎小麥來製作麵粉，她請農場上的動物來幫忙。

She asked the farm cat for help. He said no.
她問了農場上的貓，願不願意幫忙，貓咪說「不！」

She asked the farm dog for help. He said no.
她問了農場上的狗，願不願意幫忙，狗說「不！」

She asked the farm horse for help. He said no.

So she took the wheat to the miller and he ground the wheat into flour.
她帶著小麥去找磨坊工人，他幫忙將小麥磨成麵粉。

Then the little red hen needed to bake the bread.
接著，紅色小母雞需要烘焙麵包。

She asked the farm animals for help.
她請農場上的動物來幫忙。

She asked the farm cat for help. He said no.
她問了農場上的貓，願不願意幫忙，貓咪說「不！」

She asked the farm dog for help. He said no.
她問了農場上的狗，願不願意幫忙，狗說「不！」

She asked the farm horse for help. He said no.
她問了農場上的馬，願不願意幫忙，馬說「不！」

So the little red hen carried the flour to the baker and asked him to bake some bread.
所以小母雞自己帶著麵粉來找烘焙師，請他幫忙烘烤麵包。

The bread smelt lovely. The little red hen carried the bread back to the farm.
麵包聞起來好香喔！小母雞帶著麵包回到農場上‧

The farm animals came to see her.
農場上的動物們都聞香而來了。

‘What lovely bread,’ they said. ‘Can we help you to eat it?’
「哇！麵包看起來好好吃。」他們說「我們可以幫你吃掉這些麵包嗎？」

The little red hen smiled and said, ‘No.’
紅色小母雞微笑地說「不！」

Then she cut the bread and ate it all up.
接著，小母雞就自己把麵包一個個吃下肚了。
