沒有比家更棒的地方 There’s No Place Like Home

Lily and Tom are two very lucky siblings. They have everything they could ever want!
Lily和Tom是一對幸運的兄妹，他們擁有所有他們想要的東西。

They live in a nice house in the suburbs, their mother cooks delicious food for them every day and they have cool things like new books, new clothes and even iPads!
他們住在郊區一棟很棒的房子，他們的媽媽很會做飯，他們擁有很多書、漂亮的新衣服，甚至還有iPads。

However, Lily and Tom have to follow a very important rule. “You‘re not allowed outside after dinner! “ Mom said.
然而，Lily和Tom必須遵守一個非常重要的規則，「你們在晚餐後不能再出家門。」媽媽說。

“Remember that if it gets dark and you’re outside all alone, the monster will come for you! “ Mom said.
「記得，如果天黑了你們還待在外面，會有怪獸來抓你們！」媽媽說。

They don’t like this rule.
Lily和Tom很不喜歡這個規則。

One day, after dinner, Lily and Tom decided to sneak outside to find their friends and play. “Come on, let’s go! “
有一天，晚餐過後，Lily和Tom決定偷溜出門找朋友玩，「快點！我們走吧！」

“But what about the monster? “ Lily said.
「但…如果有怪獸怎麼辦？」Lily害怕的問。

“I don’t believe in that! Mom just makes it up to scare us! “ Tom said.
「我才不相信呢！媽媽只是編來嚇我們的啦！」Tom說。

They both leave through the back door and run down the street, looking for their friends.
他們從家裡的後門溜出去，要去找朋友玩。

“ Where are our friends? They always play around here. “ Lily asked.
「奇怪，我們的朋友呢？他們通常都在這裡玩呀！」Lily問。

Their friends are at home of course!
他們的朋友當然在家。

It’s starting to get dark.
天色越來越暗

“Where are we? “ Lily asked.
「我們在哪裡？」Lily問。

“ What? I thought you knew where we were! Are we lost? “ Tom said.
「什麼？我以為你知道我們在哪裡。」Tom說。

“ PIT, PAT, PIT, PAT, PIT, PAT. ““What was that? Did you hear that noise? ” Lily asked.
「PIT, PAT, PIT, PAT, PIT, PAT…」「那是什麼聲音？你有聽到嗎？」Lily問。

“It’s the monster! Mom was right! “ Tom said.
「是怪獸！媽媽是對的！」Tom說。

“ PIT, PAT, PIT, PAT, PIT, PAT. ““I heard it again!” Lily said.
「PIT, PAT, PIT, PAT, PIT, PAT…」「那個聲音又來了！」Lily說。

“We need to get out of here! “ Tom said.
「快點！我們要逃走！」Tom說。

Lily and Tom’s mom has found them, hiding in the dark.
Lily和Tom的媽媽在黑暗中找到他們。

“There you are! “
「找到你們了！」

“ Mom! Thank you for finding us! “ Lily cried and said.
「媽媽！謝謝你找到我們！」Lily邊哭邊說。

“We’re so sorry for going out after dinner! “ Tom said.
「我們很抱歉晚餐後還跑出來。」Tom說。

“ Even though you are brave, it doesn’t mean you can never be scared. Children shouldn’t go out alone at night.”
Lily和Tom的媽媽說「即使你們很勇敢，但不代表你們永遠都不會害怕，小朋友在晚上不應該還跑出門。」

Tom and Lily are lucky that the monster didn’t find them…
經過這件事後，Lily和Tom很慶幸，這次沒有遇上怪獸。
