Fox and Rooster 狐狸和公雞

有一天，有一隻狐狸看見一隻公雞，他想把這隻公雞當早餐，所以開始進行他的詭計….

One morning a fox sees a rooster.
一天清晨，一隻狐狸看見了一隻公雞

He thinks, “This is my breakfast.”
狐狸心想：這就是我的早餐。

He comes up to the rooster and says, “I know you can sing very well. Can you sing for me?”
他跟上公雞對公雞說“我知道你唱歌可好聽了，你能為我唱支歌嗎？

The rooster is glad. He closes his eyes and begins to sing.
公雞聽了非常高興。於是，他閉上眼睛開始唱歌。

The fox sees that and catches him in his mouth and carries him away.
狐狸看到了，趕緊用嘴咬住公雞並把他帶走了。

The people in the field see the fox.
現場的人看到了這只狐狸 

They cry, “Look, look! The fox is carrying the rooster away.”
他們大叫，“快看，快看，狐狸把公雞抓走了。”

The rooster says to the fox, “Mr Fox, do you understand? The people say you are carrying their rooster away. Tell them it is yours. Not theirs.”
公雞對狐狸說：“狐狸，你聽見了嗎？那些人說你把他們的公雞抓跑了。快點告訴他們，公雞是你的，不是他們的！“

The fox opens his mouth and says, “The rooster is mine, not yours.”
狐狸張開了嘴說，“這只公雞是我的，不是你們的。”

Just then the rooster runs away.
就在這時候，公雞逃跑了。
