One day, they decided to go to the center of the forest to get some fruit.
有一天,他們決定到森林中央去採一些水果。
Before they got out of the house, their mom said: “My dear children, it is cold, and it will be much colder if you come back late in the evening. So, please put on warm clothes. And more importantly, don’t take them off.”
“Yes, mummy,” said Molly. She was always listened to what her mother told her. There was no exception this time. Then she put on a coat and trousers.
「好的媽媽」茉莉說。她總是聽媽媽的話,這次也不例外。隨後她穿上了外套和長褲。
“Yes, madam,” said Modi quickly, and he put on his yellow jacket and trousers.
「遵命!」莫迪快速地回應,並穿上了他的黃色外套和長褲。
The wind was blowing wildly in the forest. They jumped from tree to tree. When they reached the center of the forest, there were many different kinds of fruits. Modi and Molly were very excited and packed a whole bag full.
“Wow! We’ve got enough fruit. Let’s go home now.” Molly said。
「哇!我們有了足夠的水果了。我們回家吧。」茉莉說。
“No, we can still take more!” said Modi excitedly, and he took off his jacket and wrapped even more fruit in it. It got colder and darker, when Modi and Molly returned home, Modi had a cold. He sneezed and said “kerchoo, M…M…Mom, how I wish I had listened to you!’’
